SurfactGreen has completed a fundraising round of 1.2 million € with its investors Go Capital, Fira Nord-Est and Ouest Valorisation.
The proceeds of this round will be used to set a new laboratory as well as produce and market the first surfactants.
These products are synthesized from renewable resources like a sugar beet by-product and brown algea.
These green surfactants aim at substituting some products presently on the market which are partially or totally derived from petrochemistry.
Moreover, they will be biodegradable with a far lower eco-toxicity level, and thus doing away with most toxic labels.
SurfactGreen’s technology is based on 8 patents and more than 14 years of research conducted at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes.
