Sponsors : Fueled by the French Green Spirit

SurfactGreen has various sponsors : BPI, the French bank of Investment, the Rennes School of Chemistry, Brittany region, Hauts-de-France regions and Ille et Vilaine department. They support therefore the projects of green surfactants and also believe in Surfactgreen’s future.

BPI France is the French business development agency. It provides assistance from early stages to market development. This assistance is also a wide range of financial instruments; it also includes grants, loans, capital, guarantees, advisory services in order to support innovation, growth or international expansion.

THE BRETON ECONOMY

Brittany is one of the few French regions to have continued to create jobs over the past decade. Indeed the unemployment rate is still lower than the national average by one or two percentage points. In 2006, the total labour force consisted of 1.24 million people. Agriculture and fishing still accounted for 6% of these workers (despite a sharp decline). Even more in industry for 25% and also the tertiary sector (trade and services) for 70%. While Brittany is home to major French and foreign groups, the regional economy is also characterised by a dense network  (SMEs).
The gross domestic product (GDP) of Brittany is of 78 billion euros in 2007. Brittany is therefore the fifth leading French region where it comes to wealth created by its economic activity.
